Newbie with an 08 Treg
Hi all, I'm loving and occasionally fearful of my 08 Touraeg. Bought it to tow a caravan. I'd initially been looking for something pretty cheap like an old Navara or something, then found an 08 3l TDi Treg with sub 100km for $10k. Never looked back! These things are incredible, but need some extra loving...

Hello, I’ve just bought a new Octavia which is a white wagon. I drive 100km a day in it and, of course, love it.

2012 pass at 125tdi. Bad egr/dpf?
As per title.. bought a cheap obd2 Bluetooth unit. Installed torque pro. It says the car has done 1200km since the codes were cleared, which was within a few 100km before I bought it.
This is my concern.

Gti High Fuel Consumption (10lt / 100km constant)
I'm currently running a fairly modded Polo 6R Gti with an APR stage 2, intercooler, exhaust, intake and R8 coils w/ NGK BKR7EIX plugs (the latest addition).
Since adding the coils my fuel economy has dropped to a long term average of 10lt per 100km which is constant, it doesn't go up or...

Golf 2.0 8V SE - POOR Fuel Consumption
Just picked up a 2003 mk4 Golf 2.0 SE at the weekend, and noticed that the fuel consumption was sitting in the high teens per 100km. After filling the tank with 95 (straight after a minor service - oil, filter and air filter) I reset the trip computer and ran it for 100km - at 100km on the dot it was...Last edited by CraigR; 31-07-2017, 10:26 AM.

T5 V6 fuel consumption
Saw this on carsales:2005 Volkswagen Transporter T5 Auto
This would have to be pretty rare.I knew these V6 motors are thirsty but the figures given in the specs column for the engine say 13.5L per 100km combined. If most of my driving is in the city I imagine it would be closer to 15L per 100km...

4.2 litres per 100km (67 mpg)
Had to pick the wife up at Gold Coast Airport (Coolangatta) last night at 8.30pm
From Beenleigh it is about 70kms and I had an hour and a half to get there straight down the M1
Almost no traffic on the motorway so I set cruise control at 85kph and just sat there steering
The 80kph...Last edited by Blue103TDIDSG; 08-03-2016, 03:43 PM.

MK4 Fuel Economy issues
Hi everyone
I purchased a 2001 MK4 (1.6L GL) last week with 105K on the clock. It is in near perfect condition, but is getting much worse economy than I thought. I am averaging about 9.5L per 100km city, and 8.5L per 100km highway.
Overall anything from 450-550L per tank....
