A few GTI, R, and even a Polos I’m considering here in Perth are all over 100,000 kms? What are the things I should be aware / wary of when looking at cars over the ton?

I've looked around google and haven't been able to find a solid set of numbers for the sizes of the brakes on the 1.2tsi. DBA has a few options for both front and rear, so I'm not 100 percent certain.

Could anyone tell me diameter the front and rear disks are...

Is there any ongoing issues with these models?
Does the timing belt need to be changed at 100,000 or 150,000?

Can anyone give feedback on the Nitto NT01 semi's. I'm seeing them around pretty cheap at the moment but haven't experienced, seen or heard much about them. They have treadwear of 100 so are getting towards an R888. thoughts?

I've got a vw polo gti 9N3. I'm after some light competition rims eg team dynamics pro race 1.2 or something along those lines for my car. Can throw in some 16 X 7 ET35 5 x 100 pcd OEM wheels (9kg'ish each) and hubcentrics if need be. I thik they are off an S3.
