Just had a thought, have you tried your VW DEaler. They often get some 1/43 scale models in. I bought a very nice red Golf V GTi from our Dealer.

More likely that it is so new.

To give you an idea, there are 3 major producers of 1/87 scale model, AWM, Herpa & Wiking. Only 1, Wiking, is making the T5 Transporter / Multivan.

While Minichamps produce Golf in Mk I,II,IV & V, they still don't make a Mk III, or T3 & T4 Transporters/Multivans, yet make T1, T2 & T5.

If you ebay search "Polo" you will fing something "New", however, not yet a GTi.

Sorry to bump and old thread, but since its been a while since the polo GTIs been out, are there any models out now? I've been searching through multiple model shops in melbourne and sydney but without success

Was going to mention, Minichamps.de (there is an English version on the site).
I'm sure Trofeu also produce Polo GTi's for the dealers.
If you need any help locating one, just let me know.
The postage won't be too cheap though (Just priced sending a 1/24th scale and it was £15 registered Air-mail to Oz).

I just had a look at minichamps.de, doesnt seem like they have it It would be awesome if you could locate one G-Lader

I did a search on German Ebay and found no Polo GTI. It looks as though they don't exist.

i remembered seeing one on US ebay. You can try and have a look. Maybe they only come up every now and then
