Autobild has renderings and confirms Wednesday as G-Day for the Golf VI

Typisch Golf: Die sechste Generation des VW-Bestsellers bleibt konservativ, präsentiert sich jedoch mit Feinschliff im Detail als komplett neues Auto. So kommt der Golf VI.

Ooh... Can't wait. Will this be the normal model lineup or will it have GTIs and stuff as well?

          Normally they show the bogger.

Then later on they show the GTI..

or a blog may leak pics early depending on when VW's Media Site releases 1st pics

I am accredited VW Media Services user so I'll have all the rundown from VW as it appears

LOL surprise surprise a blog leaked 1st pics

Front = Mk IV crossed with MkV and Scirocco's angular bumper.
Headlamps are a bit big but like the Mk V I'll probably get use to them

Side = Looks weird with the Scirocco/Mk V front crossed with a Touareg Rear end.

Rear = Honey I shrunk the Touareg into a Golf

Interior = Very slick apart from the Tan leather

Trust you to be on the ball, Ben..

I don't mind it actually. I was disappointed with the way they went with the MkV to be honest.

I like that they've gone back to the tough look kind of thing. They lost that with the MkV in my opinion.

Yep,I have just seen these pictures in the South African CAR magazine, and I think the whole car looks very similar to the A5,which shows what a good design that was.
Front, back, sides, and interiors look almost like a facelift...
Am now looking forward to seing what the next Jetta will look like,as that is always a cross between Golf and Passat, but that must be 2-3 years away still.

A very conservative update, but a good one nonetheless. I am not rating the rear lights though... Maybe they will grow on me.

I hate the MKV compare to the 4. This update has done a bit to get back to a nicer look. Especially the taillights.

Would like to see it in a non-homosexual colour.

Wow, I like it! To me the headlight + grille combo looks like they took the best from the Mk4 and Mk5 design. The side mirrors look too triangular compared to the rest of the body. Side swage lines (reminiscent of the Mk3) is back, which I like (no bias there ), but lack of side mouldings is different compared to the other models. I actually don't mind both sets of wheels - the second one is certainly different but seems to work with the 2-door body... maybe it's the lowered stance. Speaking of doors, the 4-door looks atrocious Looks like a minivan! Rear-quarter shot of it looks like a Touareg as Ben had mentioned already, but the taillights do have a hint of Scirocco in it, which I like. Interior looks very conservative though.

I reckon the Scirocco should've been the Mk6 Golf.
                              Past: Mk3 Golf 2L 8V, Audi 8L A3T.
                              Present: Mk3 Golf variant.
