Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Extra Seats in Conversion

I am in the process of purchasing a T5 conversion. The way it is made up has only 4 seats. I am having great difficulty getting advice on how 2 extra rotating seats(removable) like those in the Multivan can be inserted into the conversion. There appears to be room for them to fit in but there is great reluctance on the part of the people doing the conversion to entertain the option of the extra seats. It would appear to me that if these can be safely attached to the Multivan I can't see why it can't be done in a converted Transporter. Has anyone any opinions or advice as to how to overcome this dilemma?
