Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

More technologically advanced engines are still in development such as the 2.0 FSI and the 1.8 TSI.

Pricing will start from $14,400 US or $9.200 Euros.

    Length 4608mm
    Width 1743mm
    Height 1465mm

Remember people this is a car designed by and for China

BTW I agree that it looks nothing like a VW

Perhaps the rear looks a little German but it reminds me of a Pulsar

reminds me of a toyota at the front. at the back i'm getting polo subaru and a bit of toyota aswell.

hopefully it isn't poorly built, as that would probably sully VW reputation.

        i like volkswagens

Thank god it's not going to be sold anywhere else in the world. There were some lovely NCAP tests of the Chinese designed and made car's - Landwind, and another one I cant remember, and all I can say is I pray to god anyone driving them doesnt have an accident in one.

*However, being holding the VW badge, I'd assume safety would be up to scratch.

                  Based on Mk4 - Golf/Bora?

Does that mean that we'll soon have easy 2L TFSI engine transplants for Mk4 Golfs?

Chinese design.... not really a design, more like copies of different cars. China has a big market for a cheap quality car. Why not? Just don't let them export it anywhere or the Polo sedan story might repeat itself!

You can see Bora origins through the waistline up to the roof.. Front and back do not seem to match very well...

Should have just built mk4's (with a mild facelift) instead and saved some $$$
