May figures up
New entrants are Tiguan [111] and Caravelle [18], Kombi and Kombi Beach have been dropped from the range most likely due to slow sales.- Ben

Ben,are you sure the May figures are correct,as according to totals in the Herald Sun VW sold 2812 models in May.
If I add your figures up,the total is 2731,but they dont give figures for each model in the range.
Sorry to be a pain,I am just being a bit anal.
Thanks...and regards.

Thanks Ben,great month for the VW brand.
Was at Camberwell VW in Melbourne yestorday, and showroom was full of cars waiting for delivery.
Polos,Golfs,Jettas,Passats,and Eoss.
This month may be even better...
First full month of Tiguan,as well as Passat drive away deals boosted numbers for those models.

Your welcome Anthony
It seems VW is growing from strength to strength.
With even more variants (Caddy Maxi Life & Passat CC) and new models Golf VI, Polo V, Passat upgrade, Touareg II, Phaeton II & Robust to come.
VW will climb upwards from Numero 10 within the next couple of years in Australia.- Ben

I wonder what the sales figures would be if the waiting list was the same as the competitors?
I'm pretty sure figures would be much higher if people didn't have to wait 4 months for their car. Tiguan is 6 months wait, most people are not enthusiasts and will settle for an Outlander, XTrail, or CRV which they can pick up next week.
Be nice if we had USA pricing as well - the VW GTI MKV starts at $US22,800 versus our $39,990sigpic

FTA's
that's because Australia has FTA's with all sorts of countries (i.e. Japan) but not with places like Europe. I also don't think that South Africa is included so higher taxes are being paid on incoming products from these countries. Hence the higher price.1985 GolfMk2 CL
