I still think and hate to see it but alot of those rexies in Bankstown are alot faster than a lotus!

Also in the city a few years ago they started to use the WRX as squad cars for the tight city corners

Ive seen these cars before. I reckon if the cops are gonna have cars like that in the squad, keep them undercover and not put the police stickers on them. They would probaby catch alot more hoons that deserve it be caught that way.

The idea is to use the car as a tool to get the hoons interested to talk to the cops and build a relationship with them in the hope they can modify the hoons' behaviour.

Ah the Rexies were Highway patrol - And were dropped after constantly blowing clutches and gearboxes. (Also some supply issues iirc)

The Exige is under strict instructions not to chase anybody.. soley a police image/marketing exercise.

I'm not so sure about that. I think it is aimed at prevention rather than conviction. Or at least it should be....
