Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Jetta 118 tsi or honda accord euro ???

With my Jetta leaving me tomorrow,I am going to be without wheels...

Am now tossing up between a Honda Accord Euro, base model ,MY 2011...or a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta 118 TSI with dsg.

Any ideas to help me deceide ???

i was in the same situation-tossing between the two. maybe for a 'change' go for the euro although driving the jetta will make you happier day in day out. jetta is quicker. euro is a hunk of junk in terms of performance

My Jetta was picked up by Allianz yestorday,I shed a few tears, and feel quite emotional.

Have never loved a car as much,or been so attached to one before.

        I will miss it lots.

You know that the Accord Euro is the same size as a VS Commodore - good example of car bloat. I would recommend that you make sure you can live with the typical Honda no bottom end torque - it can make a large car like the Euro tiring to drive when you have to rev it every time.

After 4 new Volkswagens,1 new Ford, and 1 new Holden,I have deceided to buy a 2011 MY HONDA ACCORD EURO automatic .

Am very impressed with it,and feel it will be a little upgrade from my beloved Jetta.

Will hopefully do the purchase tomorrow.

Will let you all know how it all goes...

I am very excited, cant wait for it now.

              Bought a Euro this afternoon.

Now have a 3 week wait,as its on the waters from Japan.

Ordered it in Buran Silver...YAY...cannot wait.
