VW South Africa stops building the mk1 for good

After years and years of service, VW has finally pulled the plug on building the MK1 golf in South africa for 2010 , after 35 years, there will be a special edition MK1 with a 1.6l engine (no other specifications yet), through out its life, the car has stayed the same, just a driver airbag was fitted in the very later years.
So now even the newer "City golf" will become a rare find.
