I doubt this is for a long term though ... Toyota cut down worldwide productions by heaps due to GFC but they can easily ramp up productions again once global economy improves?

But hey we shall enjoy the glory while it lasts! !

Volkswagen AG has produced more vehicles than Toyota Motor Co. for 3 Qtr of the calender year i'd wait till January before celebrating.

and for how long GM and Toyota are restructuring once this is complete it will be topsy turvy for a while.- Ben

How True...I have had my V6 Highline for 8 weeks (after waiting 6 months) and everybody that looks at it, or I tell them that i have a Passat, looks at me as if to say what the? Then i explain its a VW and the next reaction is usually..."didnt know you could still buy them in Australia...".Originally posted by PassatB6 View PostThe worlds biggest car maker and many people in Australia and the US look at you like you are an alien if you tell them you own one. Haha for real? I might get a weird look when I tell them I have a VW. Once they find out it's a Diesel, that a whole other story.2002 Volkswagen Bora V5 - 2007 Mazda 3 GT - 1998 Ford Contour Sport - 2010 Volkswagen Jetta 2.0T - 2013 Volkswagen Passat 130TDI - 2015 Ford Escape 1.5 - 2016 Subaru WRX - 2018 Volkswagen Golf R Wolfsburg Wagon

Heh... Dodgy dodgy dodgy. Still doesn't change the fact that Toyota is still purely uninspired white goods for the most part.
Even a turbo-diesel Jetta is more inspired...

Thanks for the kind words but it doesn't take much to be better than a Toyota. Coming from a Golf driver though, I can understand your point of view.Originally posted by Treza360 View PostHeh...
