  • No oil in engine with sand and grit poured in

Don't try it with your engine.
A V8 engine is drained of its oil, then grit and sand are poured into an open valve cover.   Watch this 3-minute, 23-second video by clicking on the link below.

not much of that sand would actually end up inside the engine though i dont think. Typical american infomercial!

There's been a few different examples of similar products over the years, pretty impressive stuff but the sand and crap would still have to have some effect on the engine parts long term.

            Meaningless demo

Let's see them pour some sand in to the air intake! What they did does not mean a thing.

running at 6k rpm without the sump is a tad impressive, but they did only have it crankin along for about 15secs......

For sure it is not a mechanic in the bottle or the engine won't become indestructible when someone put a bottle of the additive in the oil.
One could compare it to some kind of scam - it is just sucking money from people who would like to believe in that product and it will not even extend the life of the engine. Simply, because the engines wear out and fail from different causes.
Today’s oils have everything in them and there is no need to add anything.

Lets see them actually put the sand in the sump and see how lo the bottom end lasts at those revs.
