I'v bought today th JETTA TDI 1.9 DSG 6 WET CLUTCH.
Thanks for the advise.
I bought today the JETTA TDI 1.9 DSG 6 (wet clutch).
The dealer told me they dont have DSG 7 (dry clutch) on the TDI.
It will be supplied in about two weeks. I was consulting several drivers and have passed over some drawings of both DSG construction ( the 6 and 7 ).
I need the car for about 30,000 km a year in an mountain side and in town.
The car must stand heavy traffic up a hill in stop and start mode which need high torque in low rpm.
The wet clutch DSG fit more for heavy duty purposes. and there is no doubt about it is better than the dry clutch when high torque is needed and under heavy duty conditions.
Experienced JETTA DSG 6 (wet clutch) drivers told me they have made 700,000 kms with this kind of gearbox under heavy duty conditions.
I'll let you know about it after getting the car.
