yeah i was in south africa recently and these citi golfs were everywhere......by far the most common car on the road. similar to seeing a holden or a ford here. some of them are really quite nice, expecially after people had put rims, drop kit and tints.
i had not heard of them before i left and when i got there i just thought people had an obsession with old golfs and kept them in good nick....until i peered through the windows of a few and saw the modern interior.
one of the funniest times was on my first day in SA at Sun City Casino (when i hadn't heard of a citi golf)..... i saw one of these golfs up on a stand as a prize car in a lotto....i was so damn confused as to why they were putting an old car up there instead of a new model golf and then a few days later it clicked to realise it was actually a brand spanker.
