Photo Hosting - A guide

Ok i though i would do a simple step by step guide to putting picks up on the forum. I use photobucket and you can upload direct from your computer and its free.

1st - you must register with PhotoBucket. Follow the instructions on this page Photobucket -Registration Page Follow the instructions on this page and complete the registration.

2nd - Next (from memory) there is a button that says browse. Here you can look on your hard drive and find the pics you are wanting to upload. You can do 5 Pictures at once. Once you have found all the pictures you want to upload you hit the big upload button.

3rd - once you have uploaded your photos. You can then add them directly to your post. under each of the photos you have uploaded you will see these three links - URL Link, HTML Tag, IMG Code. The one you want to copy is IMG Code. All you have to do is click on the text next to it and a little yellow box will say copied. Then you go to the post you want the pictures in and press Ctrl V and the text will be in your post.

Once you have done this it will look something like. [ IMG]http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p162/shanethb/RallyPolo2.jpg[/IMG] Then the picture will be displayed when you submit the post.

Thumbs up. Got another tip related to this which may make uploading thousands of photos a breeze: download Flock. It is a Mozilla Firefox-based web browser that has a nifty photobucket photo upload tool integrated into it. Very easy to use, and once the upload tool is open, you can close the Flock browser. It's user-friendly too in that it won't bother you when you want to use another browser instead of Flock. I, for instance, still use Firefox, but only open up Flock when I upload dozens of photos. Here are some screenies:

Photobucket photo uploader; can be used on its own without Flock opened:


Just a matter of drag-and-drop, then select folder and upload; done!:

Hey Shaneth.
Used your system to upload but I found the only way it would work is
by using the IMG code. the others would not work.
So have I some how ballsed up again or should your post read " The only one you can copy is IMG code".???

Pc's are not friendly to me.
