Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Enabled
Yes, they're enabled. It's hard when you're logged on as an administrator 'cos very often you don't see what everybody else sees! I looked straight into it and all avatar options are enabled. There shouldn't be a problem (having said that I had to re-upload my own avatar). So I'll log on with an alias and see what happens.Last edited by Guest; 15-06-2006, 01:05 PM.

Im not sure what the problem is, but when you goto "User CP" which is the user control panel the avatars and smilies are OFF but when you post a reply it says the are ON... so im thinking that the OFF in the User CP needs to be turned on *shrugs*

Fixed
Fixed Yeah... Somewhere in the import the avatar permissions got switched between usergroups. Anyway, it's fixed now (let me know if it doesn't work for you...you may need to re-upload your avatar).
Small problems like this are bound to pop up until the software is completely sussed. It's helluva complex thing 'cos it's so powerful. Coming here from phpBB was like stripping and rebuilding a Holden HR vs a Mk5 Golf!
