Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Haha, that is a classic.
Why are our adverts so boring here when the euro ones are so well done?

Maybe they have changed it up. First cars I owned flashed/chirped twice to lock then when I got my Subaru which was one to lock I had a thew moments where I returned to a unlocked car frantically looking to see if any thing was nicked. Took me awhile to get use to it. Good thing about the polo and having a VCDS cable is I can set it to honk on locking only so I know if I hear it its locked

I've coded my MKVI to chirp, but it is not very loud. The MKV chirp was much better. It is logical that it chirps twice for unlock - 2 syllables and once for lock - 1 syllable.

if you look at the advert, there's no telling you to buy, its all clever and subtle.

Unfortunately Ozzies are dumb and we have to be told blatantly "GO AND BUY OUR PRODUCT"
