Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • New sprint- unbooster now available!

Hey guys just thought I would share this newly developed product that looks cool, its from the makers of Sprintbooster. Apparently, due to negative feedback from this forum, the sprintbooster people have decided to drop their sprintbooster product and go back to the drawing board. Here is an expert form their website:

“After hours of painstaking development, long hours of R&D and reading lots of technical data the wait is finally over. The new Sprint Un-booster is now available. Tired of a lack of control over your accelerator pedal? Drive-by-wire not laggy enough? Oem pedal too touchy? Well fret no more people. Thanks to the new Sprint Un-booster, spirited driving is now a thing of the past. How does it work? Well you asked and the boys at Sprrintbooster have delivered. They realised the flaw in their original sprintbooster module was that it was actually reduced the control you have over the acceleration and how this made people who had never owned one very scared of this mystical device. So instead they have cleverly created a new model which attenuates the throttle signal to give you more CONTROL over the range of acceleration. So for example at 50% throttle depression you are only really at 33% throttle, at 100% your only at 66%, thus giving you much more CONTROL over the car in driving situations. Here are some of the benefits you will discover after you install the new sprint unbooster:
    • A reduction in pedal sensitivity to give you more CONTROL
    • Lacklustre take off.
    • Prolonged wait b4 kickdown.
    • No more old people waving their fists at you angrily as you pass their front yards.

And for those risqué drivers who feel duped that they have lost 33% of their throttle top end do not despair, the new Sprint Unbooster pedal extender is also available giving a 33% longer pedal travel to complete the ultimate package in driver control”.

    Sounds good I rekon!

When does the Sprint Throttle Randomiser come out for German cars? The Italians cracked this technology years ago.

you arent one of the guys who got sh**ty when they read the sprintbooster white paper, are you?

each to their own, i guess.... taking the spare tyre + jack out of the wheel well will do ishtpiles more for acceleration than a sprintbooster...

Of course that's why they came out with the sprint unbooster, gives much better control over the car!

Is this like that turbo blow off sound thing that 034 "sells"?

So rather than give you a binary On/Off switch to replace your throttle control, they give you a busted dimmer switch instead?

                        Big secret
Booster actually consists of a pad made from foam plastic, impregnated with bull****, in a protective blue plastic cover.
In use, place UNDER the accellerator pedal.
