While recently in the UK I spotted some (possibly) noteworthy cars, if anyone's interested.

VWs (and golfs in particular) are everywhere being about as common as Holdens are in Australia.

But there's this MK1 GTI cabriolet I spotted in Greenwich

Right next to it was this Aston Martin:

New SEATs are everywhere, particularly in Spain. These are just a couple I saw while in the lovely town of El Puerto de Santa Maria.

I can't top that. I took 900 pictures while overseas, but only a handful of cars. More interesting things to see.

I know the 2nd one is an E-Type, but what's the first?

            First one is a Maclaren?

And here's what I mean by driving those cars:

            Aston V8 Vantage

VW Golf Cabriolet by night photographer, on Flickr
Golf Cabriolet (which is why I said 'technically' )

And I had the SEAT Ibiza as a courtesy car once for my old SEAT Leon FR 170.

oops, haha I haven't been on for a while sorry about that. Yes the first picture is a McLaren MP4-12C. There were a few AMGs around that area too, but I didn't take any pictures because, well, they were bit meh when compared to the E-type and McLaren.

PS NightPhotographer, I am very jelly of your job And I suppose technically because I think the car isn't actually moving? The dials look like that it is idling.

Haha nah - they are moving. In most cases I get out and push to minimise vibration to the camera. In these cases I was actually driving - but probably 5kph? haha

Spotted in Greece in Fat Tony and Co: a white mark 6 Golf parked while Mr Mokbel was being transported to court (from memory). Trouble is he was extradited back to Australia in May 2008, but the mark 6 wasn't released for another 6-7 months later. And channel 9 were always commended for getting the right cars in the previous Underbelly series..
