That's a very respectable time. From what he said, the R was best Euro of the day, inc the two Lambo's.

Indeed - great to see a VW take the Fastest Euro trophy. I could only manage a 24.8 in the Gallardo today - just couldn't seem to get a good launch for some reason. The Diablo suffered from a similar problem - too much power through the rear wheels to get traction on a very gravelly surface.

No excuses though - just proves that a tuned Golf R is a serious weapon.

Not sure, was a bit dark, but the rear wiper was deleted, and there were a few stickers on the back, and the headlights had a nice blueish tinge to it. Thought it was another silver 2dr golf like mine at first.
