There's been some vag-com trickery in my car, but it was up in Sydney where I got it from. Am I right in thinking that your parker lights stay on all the time?

For me, no lights are on when it's day time, the parkers come on late afternoon, and the headlights come on when it gets dark. Not too sure if that's normal.

Yeah, like other Golf's, the 35W DRL's come on as soon as ignition is engaged, or, engine running.

I have got used the running around with headlights on with 55W Philips 'BlueVision' bulbs (matching fogs too).

You VAGCOM settings sound ideal. Is that in the AUTO position?
