Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Apologies to any members on the road this morning but due to the fog, was anyone actually "awake" whilst driving their car this morning? Far out - today was an 'experience' getting to work! Encountered 4 back-hoe diggers travelling at 25kmh in 80/90kmh zones. Plenty of people in silver/white cars with no lights on and generally no one using their mirrors to change lanes. Had to run the GTI in the grass at one stage on the GDE to avoid a numpty in a Daewoo. Wet grass @ ~90kmh is not nice....

      Spotted following a blacked out BMW 3 series... A silver and turquoise painted Audi A4 with a design that is a mixture of baby finger painting and Ray Charles.
      Required lowering and bigger wheels.

                I am surprised you even have to ask, a clear no-brainer for NOT taking the Alfa. Also I would not be seen dead in anything with wheels like that.

                        Take the Alfa!!! It's nowhere near as ugly as the GTI!! No, I'm not joking.

                        Near my work at ADFA, I always have park a blue Passat R36 wagon with personalized plates, and a very nice Mk5 R32, black, with mesh rims, a Nurburgring sticker on the rear hatch, and a ver sexy driver!!
