Yeah apparently they were only out for a short period of time and I guess in the end, low low low numbers sold meant it was canned since demand wasn't there?

Someone buy one and GTI it - that'd be pretty unique!

The 9N3 is plain, bordering on ugly. The 9N is a bit more so.

The sedan is butt ugly so I seriously doubt a GTi type would touch it!! (I like the idea, though - if it could all be done cheaply, I'd try it ).

I saw on of these yesterday on springvale rd heading down towards glen waverley definately not many around. Even when they were being offered by VW dealers, I only ever saw one at the Barloworld glen waverley dealer showroom.

I saw one of these in Canberra yesterday, like the shape a lot more than the hatch, I think a Polo sedan "GTI" project would be cool

The new Polo sedan is very good looking, and is sold in Russia,India, and South Africa.

Looks very much like a baby Jetta........

The back is quite ugly, with the Golf wagons small lights, but the front /side look very good looking ...

wow, the ''vento'' polo sedan actually looks pretty good! as for the tail lights, i have always thought they looked good on the golf wagon, so i dont mind them one bit.

i'd love one of these as a little cruiser - some nice wheels like these:

or similar (nothing too hardcore like enkei rpf1 or volk te37), 17 inch and 1 finger wheel arch gap on some nice comfy suspension, in a color similar to the golf wagon metallic brown (that color makes the car look far more ''upmarket'' than it actually is, imo)... i'd take one for sure.
