Here's a good story; a story of true VW spirit. It was about 4:30pm, so traffic was congested and nobody was going anywhere anytime soon. I needed to pull into the 7/11 from the left-right-turn-lane (please see illustration below) but due to the high volume of traffic, this would have normally taken a long time. As soon as I pulled up to the lane and switched my indicator on, a fellow MKIV driver spotted me; we gave each other the "VW nod" and he let me in after signalling that there was no oncoming traffic in the lane next to him.
I posted about it on Facebook shortly after, thanking the anonymous driver for his kindness. Shortly after, I received a comment on a photo of my car that I had uploaded on Facebook. The comment read, "Nice - I just saw this this arvo. Let the driver in to the 7-11 at oxenford in the afternoon traffic. Very nice car, clean." As it happens, this person was mutual friends with somebody I know and was able to see the photo of my car because I had tagged my friend in it! Hah, small world! Needless to say, the rest is history! Thanks for letting me in, Matt!

Saw Ben (Tarmac) in his grey R last night turning onto Ipswitch road, and a clean nice red mk6 GTI at probably about 11 Friday night near Yeerongpilly. Seen a couple mk3's around too, nothing special though. Miss driving mine already!sigpic

I spotted Lito in his black mk4 Golf GTI (heavily modded), wednesday last week at the intersection next to Sunnybank Plaza. First time I believe I have seen a forum member on the road.It looked very clean, and those wheels looked amazing!
