Have one in the showroom very cool.. the Orange Black in the colour red rock very cool.
Is there any info on the specs & pricing for these? I heard mention of them late last year but can't see any more details or photos on the VWA website. Am especially interested to see if VW decided to sell them in Australia with any decent engine options or if we have to wait for the new-new-Beetle and hope we get one of the turbo petrol or TDI+DSG drivetrain options.

B/O 1.6 Manual $27,500 + O/R's
B/O " Auto $30,000 " "
B/O 1.9TDi Man $30,200 " "
Thanks for those specs - I was hoping as a last model revision VWA would wake up and offer a decent engine option, but no such luck it seems.
I bought a 2.0 Auto Cabrio for my wife when they first came out (even paid $55K for one of the first 200 to be delivered to Australia) but although the car was wonderful it had a dog of an engine. As nice as this special edition is, there's no way I'd go back to an underpowered NA engine, especially when VW has so many other wonderful engines they could be using - even the 1.4 TFSI would be a huge step forward.
The 1.9 TDI would be acceptable but alas no Auto option on that one.
Oh well - will wait for the next new Beetle instead.
