Red Golf MkV, plates 500HP (not sure if it was GTI or R32 as I think you can make the rear of the GTI look like an R32?). Was about 11pm on Logan Motorway. The rear end was R32-like, but had 4 pipes - 2 on either end. Anyone know of this one? I searched this forum but didn't find anything. Looked cool... I asked for a flyby but I don't think he saw my hand.

Yeah I went to school with that guys son (haven't seen him since though). The plates are from his old Black R33 GTR V-Spec which actually did have at least 500 HP. They used to head over to Japan all the time to get parts and go to the auto shows etc. Interestingly his wife also had a yellow GTS-T R34 which was one of the first R34s in the country.
As for the GTI yes I believe it has had quite a bit of work done. Not sure what exactly but there's definitely a lot of APR gear on it.
