That was me in the white one. I met the guy with the black one, Ian was his name. If you read this Ian, I never got a chance to actually check out your car! I can't believe that there were 2 mk1's there let alone both genuine mk1 gti's - thats pretty rare.

Spotted a black Mk5 R32 (plates were VWR-32B) in front of me on Old South Head Rd towards Bondi Junction, and a black Mk1 cabrio on what looked to be Borbets (don't remember plates) on South Dowling Street in Moore Park.. Tried to make eye contact and exchange waves, but I couldn't keep up with the R32 and the Mk1 turned right before I got the chance
