  • Tyre shop & service & tints in Brisbane

    Hi guys,

after selling up and moving over from nz a week before Xmas we bought our car in Canberra and did the good family drive to Brisbane 3 weeks ago.

As we have never lived in Brisbane I need some recommendations for new tyres, a tint shop (need to remove the front tinting to register) and we just hit 90k after driving the car from Canberra. Does anyone have any recommendations for the 3 shops to go to preferably on the north side of the city or near the airport?

As a bonus I also want to get the car detailed (properly too Not just the cheap wash and wax).

    Thanks

    Aaron

Just be aware you only have 14 days to change rego over if relocating to QLD and 3 months for drivers licence.

What sort of a car is it Presumably a VW or you wouldnt be on here. cant help with your question other than I use Northstar at Kippa Ring for service.
A scraper would take tint off if you are careful.

I used Tint-a-Car in Milton to put the tint on, and was very pleased with the results - assuming that taking it off should be straightforward...

Guy who runs the place is called Byron.

Hi guys, we bought a r36 in the act. Went to register it there (as we obtained act drivers licences the previous day) but it failed because of the tints and tyres. Because we had to leave the following day to travel I figured it would be easier to pay the fine in qld.

Before I get our licences and rego transferred I have to get tyres and tinting done. The service and detail would be after the fact.

Thanks for a bit of direction.

          Cheers

So it failed a roadworthy on tyres in the ACT and you drove it to Queensland.

            Sounds good.
