Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Recommend a VW Service Manager in Brisbane for warranty work.

I have some warranty issues on my Amarok I need resolving, can someone please let me know of a hero service manager who will happily and efficiently attend to the problems my new vehicle has. I have respectfully been unlucky so far with my relaxed initial enquiries.

    Many Thanks

After 2x managers at other dealers who I won't name who just weren't interested in helping one bit when with my '07 Passat TDi injectors died, I was amazed at the service of Norris Motor Group Volkswagen at Kedron.

The car was used and not even bought the car from them, none of my servicing was with a VW/Audi dealer but always on time; they just quickly verified the issue booked in ASAP for servicing; no questions asked (and parts were available for delivery next day, despite both other managers telling me it was "10 weeks for them"... seriously really)

Norris even went the extra mile too - when I picked the car up, the staff even held an umbrella for me as I walked back to the car when it really was bucketing down, they would have been soaked, not just a bit wet!

Other dealers had both demanded me paying up front for testing and verifying the issue and then booking it in "when there was a spare slot for warranty work".

      I did complain to VW Australia initially who eventually did get back to me three weeks later and had told the original service manager he both had to do the work, and do it ASAP; but I was already back on the road again;

Just for sport I believe the words I used were "I'll crucify you on social media channels if you don't come to the party by COB Friday" after reminding them I was an online marketing manger. This did get the result of having the original dealer I approached forced into actioning the repair the very next day.

      Good luck with it mate.

What are your issues a problem shared is a problem halved. There may be others that have had similar problems and may of had them fixed.

*Front bar has zebra pattern all over it, and marks from the factory mould.

*Gear shifter has got really really excessive play in its action after 20,000kms.

*Windscreen wiper action is awful, blades have been replaced at my expense but still noisy and do a very poor job, arms are faded and chipped and look 10 years old. (i've had my car less than a year)

*Seat belt warning chime activates on right hand turns, (I disconnected the chime to restore sanity)

*Drivers side seat bolster is in awful state after 20,000k's, vinyl side of bolster actually split.

          *Engine misfire.

I'm still desperately in the market for a VW service manager/advisor who could actually do their job properly? Anyone at all have a lead, mate or otherwise??

Finding a manager/advisor wont help. You have to book your car in with them first then tell them the issues you are having and ask for them to be rectified under warranty. They will then apply to VW australia to see if it will be covered then they will get your car in to fix it. It will not be rectified on the spot and this is not usually handled by the manager so no point talking to them.
Ive had success with ian boecher motors in ipswich, book yourself in and give them a try. But they wont cover your seat as thats wear and tear, and the fact you dissconnected your seatbelt warning may void that as you've tampered with it! Cant say about the other stuff!

Yeah, they fixed my seat and my bumper. Messed both jobs up, my original question stands.
