Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Tyre Fitter in Sydney?

    Hey guys,

Bought some loose tyres and loose rims and now need somebody to fit the tyres onto the rims.
Anybody know somebody near Inner-West Sydney who can do this and won't charge an arm and a leg?

    Thanks!

JAX habberfield will charge $25 per wheel to strip and refit. May be cheaper if they are loose and they don't have to pay for disposal of old tyres.

Not sure if that is cheap as it is the only place I have asked.

They normally charge by counting how many tyres out of rim and how tyres into rim. I've dealed with Auto City Tyre and Wheel in Seven Hills, they are the cheapest compare to other tyre shop, 4 out, 4 in and balance cost me $80, most other quoted me over $100.
