Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. • Recommendation on Golf GTI Smash repairer?

My 6 months old GTI got in from the back in an accident couple day ago. I am insured with QBE. They require two quotes, with one from a QBE authorised repairer. It is quite frustrated that the crash was not my fault but it is hard choose my own repairer easily. The insurance company is likely to take the cheapest quote. I got the feeling that the repairers specialised in VW might be more expensive.

Does anyone know if any VW recommended smash repairer also QBE authorised repairer in Sydney?

    Thanks for the help..

Sefton Smash - they repair VWs from VW that are damaged in transit. Also do a lot of dealer work. The owner is a Summernats winner and judge. They are very good.
