As some of you may know from previous postings that Matt was going to give the Little Beastie a heart transplant. A Latino heart with a Germanic soul. Seb (my son) and I arrived in Campbelltown last Wednesday and started the process of swapping the engines over. The donor was a rebuilt with possible go faster bits from a 1996 SEAT 1.8ltr for my old asthmatic 33yr old engine. Between Matt and Seb's help (I have been told by others I am a handy useless, oil cahnges etc no problem) the engine was coming together, but alas a snag, no oil was coming to the top of the engine this was because the oil filter housing one of the only parts that wasn't transferable (I was amazed how interchangeable parts are, can't slot a 96Holden in a HQ without major body work etc.) However I had faith that Matt would over come this and he did with sheer ingenuity. The car was finished and it goes like a scalded cat. I cannot have but massive admiration for Matt and the job he did, and yes i would recommend anyone from the region to give Matt a call if you need that hard to find part or just down to earth genuine good friendly service. Thanks again Matt, both Seb and I are indebted for or your kindness friendliness and your joviality.

i owe a big thank you to Matt, who may have done the biggest job yet. You all know about my over heating prob and poppping hoses that i had on my VR6, turns out i had a cracked head, so Matt dropped a new VR6 in the mk3 and apart from a few minor hick ups in the begining, the car has been sweet. new engine mounts, low km engine and it goes really hard! alot more pokier than the other engine and alot more free revving too...he also threw in lots of other small bits too!!!
so from my lips to your a.s....mwah!!!
thanks matey!
p.s - by the way, if there is any doubt in anyones minds....im not gay.
Its a pommie love thing. You Greeks wouldnt understand

Yep...Matt sorted my little linkage issue out this afternoon, and wouldlnt let me leave until he dug through the treasure trove of bits and pieces and found a couple of bushes to finish the job perfecto..nice one!
And Matt, bought some PS fluid...will see if that does the job on my power steering whine....also (out of interest), rang a mate who works at a VW dealer parts section and found that a new Power Steering pump would cost about $1100...bahahahahaha

when i bought my Rocco i rang Matt and annoyed him asking him a million questions...The morning i got my Rocco after an hour at the service station he answered his phone at seven thirty in the morning to tell me how to open my fuel tank door. I looked every where for the handle and made the embarassing call "i cant find the lever for my fuel tank mate" "you just open it" "what do you mean" "put your hand in and open it" hmmmm ah its attached to the central locking....(everyone locks there door before filling up yeah!!
just last week he noticed my rear tail light had a hole in it.He replaced it with his because he has a spare one at home.I have his windscreen in my car because of a ten week weight for mine which i broke punching mine because i didnt believe my girlfriend when she said she broke a windscreen when she was eight...expensive way to prove your wrong.
Before i expose much more how much of a tool i am i will leave it at that all i have to say is that i love him and if he was a little bit taller i would have him locked in my underground bunker under my house (yes i have one) my list of helping hands i have got is below if it was not for his real love for my car i have to say i would have driven him mental by now i am a pain in the ass but hes always smiling when he watches my car drive away (for more than one reason maybe.i should be mowing the guys lawns and painting his house
