  • Hose Clamps

I'm looking for small hose clamps for 5mm pressure hose.

Having a hard time finding on the internet / ebay, but only want a handfull.

Where can I get them? Retailer would be good...

Wherever I look, they have clamps that go down to 6mm.

Am I better of using a cable tie or 6mm clamp?

Is there something else I should be looking at?

5mm is tiny - what is the inner diameter of the hose?

You might get a 5mm spring clamp (squeeze with pliers to open) or a 5mm stepless ear clamp (single use - has to be demolished to remove).

Maybe you would be better to fit another piece of hose over the top of the other hose to fatten it up a bit & use a bigger diameter clamp?

I wouldn't use a cable tie unless the fit was really tight & the barb quite long. Then you would fit 2 or 3 side by side - doubt you'd get enough pressure or they would last long because of heat making them brittle.

Go to a specialist hose place like Pirtek or Enzed and tell 'em what your application is.

You'll get much beter clamps compared to Supercheap. The price is usually comparable too.

Guess I'm lucky in that regard, it's one of the few advantages of living on the edge of an industrial estate. I have about 4 of those hose specialists within about 5 minutes drive.

Their vans are all over the place. If they are nearby they will drop them to you.
