Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • VW Service in Sydney

    Hi Folks,

The Beetle is up for its first service and was just wondering if anyone could recommend any dealers/vw centres in sydney for the service, as well as how much we should be up for?

    Appreciate any advice.

      Hi Brendan / Ed,

      I've recommend Euromotive many times.

He's a VW and Audi specialist and was part of the Volkswagen race team. The man knows his VW's and Audi's...!

I've got a MKIV Golf R32 and Sebastian has been the only mechanic to service and modify my car since new.

I haven't bothered with any of the dealers to service my car because they're simple too expensive and wouldn't look after my car with care or respect. I know this first with some of the warranty work that I've gone back for...

The first service should not cost you more than $300 bux...

      His contact details are:

      Address : Unit A6 @ 16a Amax ave Girraween
      Mob: 0410 541 322

      Cheers

      Stan

Will VW recognise work done by him and still honour their warranty?

Yes - VW cannot refuse a warranty claim just because your car was serviced at an independent, unless he used oil or parts not VW compliant. I am sure Seb, and any of the trusted specialists on here would use the right stuff.
