Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I had mine repaired at Exhaust Torque in Bibra Lake on a mate's recommendation.

I spent around $4k on a SS one for my GT-P at APC Enhancements in Myaree.

not sure if they'll do yours, but the service and workmanship was exceptionally good. They do a large amount of work on XR6 turbos etc

call Grenville 9317 4144 to ask, if your interested

sorry to drag this out and hijack it.

does anyone know if these same exhaust places would also do mods on the rear valance? e.g. if i wanted to do some cuts to the valance so the exhaust tips will show on my jetta tsi.

I doubt it. You'd probably have to talk to a panel beater or get a different valance.

Also, I emailed APC ages ago looking for quotes - no response. Lame.

nod. that means the chances of getting a better deal (if they do both exhaust and the valance) won't be as high. heh.

i'm going to try a couple of places that i found the names off the forum this week. it's such a pain trying to find time during work. gah.. i wish some of these places opened on sat!

bit of a highjack but i didn't want the Mods to curse me out about kicking off a new thread without doing a search...

anyhoo...zorst for my GTI....any suggestions? APR & Milltek seem a bit expensive....thoughts on aftermarket & the effects it will have on the APR chip/tune - ie: do i have to take it back to Quattro for an update post 'zorst or should it adapt?

secondly - where can i get an aftermarket exhaust done in Perth by someone whom knows a bit about our cars??

from all reports the most cost effective thing to do is go custom downpipe and leave the rest of the exhaust as it is.

once you have a larger diameter downpipe and high flow cat you need to go back to quattro and get the tune adjusted.

as for reputable exhaust shops im not sure but checking other car forums that have a bigger scene in perth is always a good idea as they review a fair few different places.

good luck and let me know if you find anywhere decent
