Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

There was an issue with some Goodyear Eagle F1s being made in China rather than Germany. The prices were a world of difference but so were the performance! The place of manufacture should be stamped on the tyre - might be worthwhile to check it out.
      Past: Mk3 Golf 2L 8V, Audi 8L A3T.
      Present: Mk3 Golf variant.

mine say thailand but i'm not sure thats cause for alarm because this quote is from goodyear's website:

but the main reason i know they're real is that they stick so well, definitely better than the conti CS2's that i just switched from (and thats also taking into account how crap contis get when they're worn down). benough also got pirelli's from them for a similarly cheap price and they're also the real deal.
