Is that a rip off or is that normal?

Go to VW website. They list all the service schedule there. $530 seems excessive assuming you are getting the 30k service?

Edit: just checked, that price includes service + brake fluid + pollen filter. VW recommends changing them every 2 years

Sounds like a normal VW 2 year service price to me.
If you think the 2 year service is a rip off wait till you get to the 4 year one

Haha ya, I remember seeing the price for a wet DSG... cost of major service + DSG oil + pollen filter + brake fluids... *ouch
