Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Anyone have Elsawin or a manual for the Mk4 Bora 4mos?

    Hey folks,

Anyone here know/use of Elsawin? I'd love a bit of help if anyone owned it.
Have seen it for sale around the $40 mark so I'm happy to buy it but I'd need to know it had information about the Bora 4mos and across both engines (AUE & BDE).

I own a AUE Bora 4mo and she is nigh on impossible to work on without a guide as there's little information around about her and ETKA is of very limited assistance.

Currently stuck on trying to find the second oil pressure switch and was hoping someone could show me.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Cheers!

Can I have your vin # and do you possibly have a code for the oil switch you're trying to find? I can get you this info Tuesday...

      Thanks mate!

      Vin is WVWZZZ1JZ1D455077

Based upon dealership advice and ETKA - apparently the V6's have two oil switches (low and high pressure) and so far I've only found the black one (low pressure) that is sitting ontop of the oil filter hoising. Blue (high pressure) Oil switch I can't find on the vehicle is: 028919081G

      Cheers for your help mate!
