Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    G'day,

    I'm looking to ship a car from Melbourne to Brisbane and wondered if anyone has experience in this area and does anyone know who the best / cheapest carrier would be? Really appreciate some feedback on this...

    I shipped two cars cross country late last year via Ceva. Both cars arrived in the same condition they left (obviously covered in dust etc but no damage).

    Pretty easy to organise a quote - just consider going depot to depot rather than from door to door as this will save you a reasonable amount. I had it from the door in Adelaide as I didn't have time to get to the depot and back, but they did load straight on to a flat bed truck and I had no mileage on the car during transit.
