THE Jetta Comfortline is on an introductory special at $29999,with DSG and White paint.

      Very good value for money.

        Thanks for the reply Anthony.

I'm definitely leaning toward a more spacious yet more reliable car now.
I'm actually trying to settle for either the Jetta or the Tiguan.

Both are very nice, just unsure about the DSG and the 1.4 TSI on the Jetta ...

For $22-25k you can find a nice Mk6 GTI with under 60,000km's. I got one 12months ago for $19,600 with 55,000km (white, manual, only option was reverse camera) but i got it from the dealership my brother works at and he gave it to me for the trade in price, so it was $3-4k cheaper than it should have been. Its a good little car but i think i would prefer a new Polo GTI (actually i may upgrade to the Polo once it is released).
Starting to look more into the MK6 GTI's again.
I've gotten 2 links, tell me what you think. Also how are you finding the GTI? That particular year/model face any major issues etc?

Both of those would be good buys...MY12.5 and low km. Maybe knock a grand off each but they're on the money.

Apart from possible wastegate actuator rattles (a $50 fix, possibly even under warranty) it seems those models are fairly bulletproof. It's the pre 2010 ones that have a few niggles i.e. cam tensioner, coil packs, DSG software
