  • [stolen] blue vw golf r mk6 (ycc870) (vic)

Posting on behalf of a member of a facebook group I am part of. This beauty was stolen from South Morang, Melbourne this afternoon (10/11/2014). The plates are YCC870. If you have seen this car, please notify the police or contact 0431267821 or 0406599151. Let's help get this car to its rightful owner.

Sorry to hear this has been stolen.

Given that it's a rare 3 door model, and made even more unique from the non-standard wheels, and the carbon fibre skirting (front, side, and probably back), and gloss black badges, it really shouldn't be hard to spot if it's still out on the roads somewhere!
    Good luck

I apologise if this appears to be a dumb question, but how do cars like this get stolen when they have factory immobilisers and alarms?

Can criminals bypass these things that easily that they can drive away or is it likely that the car was loaded onto a truck with a tray or a car trailer?

I wish the owner a speedy recovery of their vehicle.

According to the owner, it was towed away while the keys were in his pocket the whole time

Someone has to have balls of steel to even attempt that. Must be an organised group targeting specific cars as you wouldn't want to get caught mid tow.

You'd think there would be some leads from traffic cameras etc nearby surely?
