Anybody shed light on importing from UK?

I have a problem.
When I emigrated to Aus, almost 6 years ago now, I was not in the position to bring my car out from the UK. Now I would like to import it (It's sat in the outlaws garage ) but can't work out which import approval to apply for.

Has anybody successfully imported a car after the 6 month personal import limitation?

Ring the Customs department and get the true answer rather than asking on here and getting opinions which may or may not be correct

One thing I do know is that you have to have the correct paperwork done BEFORE you even think about shipping it.

If it arrives and it hasnt got the right stuff they may destroy it or send it back.

Thanks Hillbilly, I was just hoping somebody had either done it already or not been successful. I also value opinions but would always find out 100% for myself. Government departments just take a bit longer than opinions on here

One thing is for sure I will NOT be sending it out without the correct approvals.
