It took a few back and forth emails but they were pretty nice to deal with. Steve Pizzati checked out my VW certificates and I also included a YouTube video of my laps around PI. I don't think they'd appreciate lots of VWDE guys trying the same thing though (from a time/hassle perspective), so don't anyone mention me as an example

Well it's all day, includes extra meals, presumably more powerful cars, and TGA's Steve Pizzati, so not a bad start so far.

Looks like there is one place now available for the Evolution course in Melbourne. There was two but I just got one. I thought I'd missed out as there were no spots left last night. Don't understand why there are so many sessions in Sydney (with heaps of spots still left) and so few sessions in Melbourne.

There are a number of positions reserved for dealers and I am sure VW keeps some back so that they can use them if they need.

Though it's interesting that Melbourne is almost all sold out whereas Sydney/Brisbane still have quite a few places available.

I have booked in for PI on Monday 29th September.
Have done a defensive drivers course, but the website still suggested I do the Progression one first.

Can only send an email and ask.

Both courses are near identical anyway (you just have faster cars and do more laps - unless they've changed something else this year) - I'd say go for the Evolution one.
