  • Ride Height law VIC

Not sure if this is the right section but just wondering on how you go about lowering your vw here in VIC? Back home in NZ we had to get a certification to go below 100mm. Is there a similar system here or is it just no lower than 100mm. If so that stinks

    Any info would be great

    Cheers

No lower than 100mm at certain distances from the wheels (i forget what the figure is) and need to maintain 2/3rds of the orginal suspension travel.

Yes it sucks, its the nanny state way.
only way is if your car came lower that 100mm from factory

but in saying that, many of the fellas ride much lower than that *cough dylan *cough and almost never get any attention.
but the perks of driving a euro is you really don't get the same attention the falcodores do, so next time you see a douchey falcodore driver, say thank you for taking the attention away from the euro scene.

        ^this
cars as the mk4s and mk3s with stock bumpers/valances look really high even if they are down at the 70-80mm mark. its only when some looks under the car to see the subframe.
Avoid big lips like the deep euro VR ones, and doing lame lip on lip on lip mod, drive nicely, hang out in the right suburbs and chances are you will get away with it for years
