Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Q: What's the difference between a photographer and a pizza?
A: A pizza can feed a family of four.
I shoot with a variety of cameras, none of them particularly fancy.
1. Leica M3 with 35, 50 and 90mm lenses. Here's a few pics taken with this camera.
2. Olympus 35RC with a fixed 42mm lens. Here's what it looks like from the back. Here are some of the pics I've taken with it.
3. Some godawful ****box friggin Canon 35mm SLR with a crappy Tamron or maybe Sigma 28-200 lens. I took these photos with it. Can you guess I don't like it?
very nice pictures btw.Last edited by mikepologti; 23-03-2009, 06:42 PM." I wait I resolution derive pleasure this " latest spammer post

very nice pictures btw.
The reason I hate the Canon is the ergonomics and functionality. It just doesn't agree with me."One art please!" --->http://benno.redbubble.com

Of course
I just happen to think the thumb wheel is retarded, the menus counterintuitive, and the handling exceptionally clunky.
Note that I am talking about an old 35mm slr, but I feel many of these issues apply to the current canon digital range, particularly the entry level models. The 400/450d in particular has terrible ergonomics; if you used it side by side with it's competitors from nikon or pentax you'd be in for a treat. Unles you have really really tiny hands."One art please!" --->http://benno.redbubble.com

It's the Academy La-7 in 1/48, here is my Beau
[IMG][/IMG]
& thanks preeny, there are many that are far better than I, I just build what I like to the standard I want, which is why I've been in a slump for 2 years. For some reason I lost confidence with my airbrush ( around the time I found this forum!) & just stopped. I'm not the type of modeler who will have multiple builds on the go at once so if something stops me everything stops..& sometimes its hard to get started again.
In this case, I walked into my model room one night a couple of weeks back, walked to my stash of kits ( I have several hundred to build before I die..)without the lights on & selected a box! The La-7 is the result...
Red 99 Seat Ibiza Cupra Sport, coilovers, K&N (Gone but not forgotten)
Blue 05 Golf 2.0 TDI DSG Comfortline, leather, sunroof.

By looking at your very nice Beau, I have put the wrong rear gunners position on, so I will have to remove it...Bugger!!"If can't get behind your troops, feel free to stand in front of them..."
