Great pics Cam...How were you able to get to Point Perpendicular lighthouse?? Do you need special permission from the Navy Range Control to get out there?

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Thanks guys.
Yeah the Point is my fav photo.
To get out there you've gotta go along Currarong Road and then chuck a right onto Lighthouse Road. From there you go through a Navy checkpoint with boomgates. You basically just say you want to go for a drive and take some photos and they let you through.
Its a shocker of a road though.
I went down it in my first car a 92 Laser. And it never quite felt the same after that...lol
Its a very bumpy, winding and muddy road.

Q: What's the difference between a photographer and a pizza?
A: A pizza can feed a family of four.
I shoot with a variety of cameras, none of them particularly fancy.
1. Leica M3 with 35, 50 and 90mm lenses. Here's a few pics taken with this camera.
2. Olympus 35RC with a fixed 42mm lens. Here's what it looks like from the back. Here are some of the pics I've taken with it.
3. Some godawful ****box friggin Canon 35mm SLR with a crappy Tamron or maybe Sigma 28-200 lens. I took these photos with it. Can you guess I don't like it?"One art please!" --->http://benno.redbubble.com

Top shots benno, those are incredible! Love the effect of the background with the motorbike racer - did you zoom in/out as you took the photo? And really like the shot that you took @ Cambodia!

And really like the shot that you took @ Cambodia!) shot with the old 'slow shutter and zoom' method with the extra twist of two flashes bungeed to trees either side of the rider. The flashes help to freeze and really define the rider, while everything not lit by the flash gets blurred.
