Yes I use it regularly on a black Car and my candy white gti, once layered it beads beautifully and gives great protection . I'd say about 3 months after 3 layers, I also use the dark matter max from final inspection over the full metal jacket just to deepen the glossy finish. Well worth the money.

Does it help with the build up of soot on the back of the gti? Or at least make it easier to remove?
Much prep work before applying?

Despite the products name, this is actually a sealant and as such to get the most benefit from its protective capabilities you should prep the surface as you would for any sealant.
However, if you are willing to apply it more often, you can use it as a frequently applied spray on/wipe off product.
This product can be used on all plastics, glass, paint with no staining or residue.
Remarkable product and easy to apply

For maximum longevity, as with all sealants, prior to the first layer, wash the car, clay bar the paint, wash again, remedial polish (RO/DA polisher with FI's CAP polish), wash again and paint cleanse.
Follow the instructions that come with FMJ SW.
Once the first layer is down, you only need to wash the car and reapply per directions
Ensure you follow the instructions regarding the first application and drying period after application.
Remember you can use FMJ SW on wheels, glass (external) and plastics.
Have not tried it on wheels but I'd say give it a go
just on panel work, i've used opti seal which was good, but then carpro reload was just as good IME. this full metal jacket seems to be getting some solid feedback. i'll try it out next round.
how is it for longevity, when it comes to sealing wheels? i do the detail work on mum's megane, and that thing is utterly horrendous for brake dust.
I have yet find any product, including dedicated wheel sealants that last very long. They (wheels and product) undergo extreme conditions, high temps, aggressive brake dust etc
However, I do use FMJ Spray Wax on my wheels at every wash and it does reduce brake dust considerably between washes. The one thing it does do though is make the washing process much easier - nothing sticks and a HP spray is enough to clean off 99% of the brake dust. Certainly helps eliminate brake dust in the hard to reach areas as well which is good.
What I like most about FMJ Spray Wax is that you can use it on every surface including glass, inside and out and it doesn't require anything special to use it.
