Without piccies it is hard to say, but 1mm is being very picky. I got mine from the factory and the doors were out of alignment and I only just had them adjusted at the 2 year serviceCurrent Ride: MY 16 Daytona Pearl Grey Audi S3- Performance Pack 1, Sunroof and Driver assist

Thanks Fox, basically when you run your hand between the two panels it should be smooth, but the door panel seem to be pushed in slightly.. So considering I'm spending quite a bit don't want to go buying a damaged carOriginally posted by SilvrFoxX View PostWithout piccies it is hard to say, but 1mm is being very picky. As I said could be just a factory fitting option that the service centre can fix. Might be worth suggesting that if they get it adjusted then it is a sale, otherwise get an inspection done they will tell you if there has been a problemCurrent Ride: MY 16 Daytona Pearl Grey Audi S3- Performance Pack 1, Sunroof and Driver assist

Well I paid someone from Autoinspect to take a look at the car cost me $200+ and he said his 100% sure it hasn't been in an accident, but then again if it has it still on me.Originally posted by SilvrFoxX View PostAs I said could be just a factory fitting option that the service centre can fix. Hang on, if you paid someone $200 to inspect it and they did and said that it is clean, why bother asking a bunch of anonymous car hacks on a forum who havn't seen the car to opine. You have the answer the only person arguing is yourself

It was mentioned on another thread that the rear edge of a panel should be very slightly proud of the panel in front of it to stop wind noise.Originally posted by watevs View PostAhahah, never know the guy may be wrong lol!
How true I cant say
If you dont trust the guy waste another $200 and get a second opinion LOL2021 Kamiq LE 110 , Moon White, BV cameras F & B

I assume the bloke you paid would have checked paint colour/finish, overspray or tape edges inside panel edges, and tool marks on the bolt heads. If he didn't spot any signs of an old repair from those, I'd say it's not a big issue. If he is wrong and it has been refinished, then sounds like it has been done properly. Might even last longer than factory paint
From memory VW doors tend to be very tricky to adjust perfectly, so if it will bother you I'd be trying to get the dealer to sort it out rather than having a go yourself.

Thanks mate, Think I'm going to go ahead with the purchase, fingers crossed it is a manufacture error and not a result of an accident!Originally posted by QBDentFree View PostI assume the bloke you paid would have checked paint colour/finish, overspray or tape edges inside panel edges, and tool marks on the bolt heads.
