Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Unbelievable...two days with my new Candy White GTi and today my better half says she needs to go to the shops and can she take the Golf? Something wrong with the Forrester I ask (2.5 turbo Luxury)? No just want to try the Golf. Well that was four hours back. Turns out she like the drive so much, she didn't want to come home and instead picked up her pal and went to a club for a drink.

Gonna have to hide those keys

Sounds like you have lost it. You might need to buy yourself an R so that she can keep the GTI.

on that note....maybe I should keep my shiny new gti away from the missus also.

She enjoys driving it so much that she had to go for a drink?

When I really want to enjoy a drink I leave the car at home.

If my missus took my new car then said she was going for a drink I'd be up there quick smart to take the keys off her! New car and a few drinks.......recipe for disaster!

            Is she back yet?

            Cheers

Modify it so aggressively that she won't want to drive it. "Oh darling you just forgot to prime the fuel pump before starting it", "the diff and slicks are going to make the shopping centre tricky, but just use the handbrake"....
