    Less and less people are choosing manuals

    Small engines don't have surplus power to waste through a slush box

    DSG gearboxes allow low powered engines to be very usable via many gears (6/7)
    (Even the BMW 3 now comes with an 8 speed auto transmission)

      My 7 speed Mechatronic unit shutdown at 112,000 ks Jetta 77Kw TDI.
      Now I can't buy one with a manual gearbox.
